The Arizona Mining Association The Arizona Mining Association was established in 1965, as a non-profit business league. The association's mission is to acquire and disseminate educational, business and scientific information that is essential to the formation of sound public policies affecting the Arizona mining industry. Current members with active mineral production in Arizona are ASARCO LLC, BHP Copper Inc., Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc., Peabody Energy, Chemical Lime, and Drake Stone Products. Other mining company members include Carlota Copper Company, Augusta Resource Corporation and Resolution Copper Company. The Arizona Mining Association recognizes the importance of educating Arizona's citizens about the critical role the mining industry plays not only in our state and nation, but also in the world. In our effort to educate the public, the Association is particularly proud to offer this website, as well as a variety of other services and resources.
